October 9 – 13, 2015: OH! Study International Education Expo – Taiwan

Taipei: October 9th (Friday) and 10th (Saturday)
: October 11th (Sunday)
: October 12th (Monday)
: October 13th (Tuesday, optional day)

Based on the number of participating schools and student attendance, the OH! Study International Education Expo has grown to be one of the largest education fairs in Taiwan. It’s a five-day integrated event in Taiwan’s three major cities: Taipei, Taichung and Kaohsiung, with an optional stop at Hsin Chu, the high-tech city of Taiwan. The fair typically has 100 exhibitors and over 15,000 attendees. Since 2007, Commercial Service Taiwan has co-sponsored the OH! Study International Education Expo.

All participants will be able to participate in the pre-fair one-on-one student-school meeting sessions at no extra cost.  They are planning to further expand this portion of the event to have over 1000 one-on-one pre-fair meetings.  This portion of the event is in addition to the regular open student fair that all participants will also enjoy. By adding this new component to the event, school participants will be able to benefit from two events in one: a large-scale open student event and a more intimate boutique event! Consider exploring the Taiwan market by joining this event that has proven successful year after year.

Nov 14–15, 2015: U.S. Art/Design Schools Catalog Show – Turkey

The U.S. Commercial Service in Istanbul is pleased to represent a limited number of six U.S. art and design schools through a Catalog Show at the INARTS Fair, providing an opportunity to get in touch with a pool of prospective Turkish students. INARTS International Art & Design Schools Fairs is Europe’s leading art and design study abroad exhibition, which is held in Istanbul twice a year (http://www.inartsfairs.com/). Traditionally, half of the exhibitors are from Europe and around 15% from the U.S. This makes INARTS not only a chance to tap into the U.S.-Turkey art education market, considering that 800 prospective students visit each fair, but also a testing water to fathom the art school admission culture in this particular region. In terms of the bigger picture, an estimated number of 13,000 Turkish students are currently studying in the U.S.

At the fair, art and design schools in all fields ranging from fashion, architecture, performing arts, design, photography, film making, fine arts, digital arts, interior design, product and industrial design, game design, 3D animation, music, dance, transportation design, visual arts, and culinary arts will be represented. Education specialists will staff the Foreign Commercial Service booth where participating U.S. schools’ brochures and promotional materials will be displayed. Information on schools will be relayed to students, whose contact information, questions and field of interest will be gathered. The demographic of the visiting students at the fair is estimated to be diverse in the level of their finished education, ranging from current high school attendance to university students to young professionals.

Participation fee: $150, Catalog Show Registration Deadline: October 15, 2015.
