Since January 1, 2004 all natural health products sold in Canada are subject to the Natural Health Products Regulations. U.S. companies must obtain product licences for their exported products, annex their manufacturing sites in the Canadian importers' site licenses, and meet specific requirements in order to successfully export to Canada. The licensing requirements apply to any person or company that manufactures, packages, labels and/or imports NHPs for commercial sales in Canada.
