Opportunities for Internship 

The U.S. Commercial Service in Little Rock, Arkansas offers internship opportunities throughout the year.

Interns will focus on the following types of assistance and support to Arkansas companies, under the direction of the U.S. Commercial Staff:

  • Identify appropriate market research and develop information in support of Arkansas companies export strategies;
  • Review incoming trade leads and develop automated system to disseminate & follow-up with appropriate Arkansas companies;
  • Assist the project management and implementation of capability building workshops, and other event management as required;
  • Promote and conduct follow-up with Arkansas companies to advertise in Commercial News USA;
  • Assist in other ad hoc projects developed by the USCS staff, to include assistance at various forthcoming activities relating to the President’s National Export Initiative, etc.

Eligibility

In order to participate in this program you must meet the following qualifications:

  • U.S. Citizen
  • Enrollment in a college or university, and attained rising Junior Status
  • Availability for 3 months (20 hrs. per week)

Students of Business, International Relations, Economics, and Languages will benefit most from an internship at the U.S. Commercial Service.

Payment Information

The internship is a volunteer (non-paid) service. Federal regulations prohibit financial compensation. An official letter of recommendation will be provided upon successful completion of internship. University credit may also be available.
