The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) is an international organization with 151 member countries. Their mission is to promote safe, secure and peaceful nuclear technologies. Every year, a General Conference (GC) is held at which policymakers from the member states negotiate and present policy positions, learn about developments in best practices, as well as scientific and legal matters, and report on their own achievements. The U.S. Commercial Service, working with our colleagues in the Departments of Commerce, State, and Energy, has been organizing a special program for U.S. industry at the IAEA General Conference since 2008.
