Offshore Technologies Conference 2014
Date: May 5-8, 2014
Location: Houston, TX, USA

Offshore Technology Conference

The United States Embassy in Belgium and the United States Embassy in the Netherlands are putting together a trade delegation for Belgian and Dutch companies interested in attending the Offshore Technology Conference (OTC 2014) that will take place in Houston, TX, May 5-8, 2014.

Founded in 1969, the Offshore Technology Conference is the world’s foremost event for the development of offshore resources in the fields of drilling, exploration, production and environmental protection.  OTC is held annually at Reliant Park in Houston, Texas, USA.

OTC ranks among the largest 200 trade shows held annually in the United States.  OTC 2013 featured over 2,700 exhibitors, which consisted of manufacturers and suppliers of technical products and services utilized in offshore resources, recovery and development.  OTC 2013 was a sold-out exhibition and totaled 652,185 square feet.  OTC 2013 attendance reached 104,800, the second highest in show history.

This year, OTC will feature indoor and outdoor displays by major oil and gas companies and related subsidiary industries, equipment manufacturers and service providers of the latest technological advances in such categories as:  Drilling, Exploration, Fabrication, Instrumentation & Controls, Environmental, Marine, Materials, Oilfield Chemicals, Oil Spill Cleanup, Pollution Control, Process, Production, Safety, Seismic, Specialized Equipment, Sub-Sea Exploration, Survey, Telecommunications, Testing, Tools, Training, Transportation, Well Completion, and Workover & Wireline.

The U.S. Embassy in Brussels and The Hague are recruiting a trade delegation comprised of Belgian and Dutch companies interested in attending the show. While Belgian and Dutch companies interested in exhibiting at the show can join a Belgian or Dutch Pavilion, companies interested in attending the show as international visitors are welcomed to join the delegation organized by the Embassy.  What this means is simply that you will attend the show as you normally would by yourself (there is no specific program/ schedule you have to follow, no obligations) but that you will be registered as an official foreign delegate in order to benefit from specific advantages.

Joining our official trade delegation will provide you with some unique advantages such as:

  • Free admission to the show floor
  • Free access to the Center for International Trade lounge where international visitors and exhibitors can have meetings in or just relax. Computer terminals with internet access will be available.  Department of Commerce Trade Specialists will be available to provide matchmaking assistance and export counseling.  Private meeting rooms will also be available.  The Center for International Trade can be your office away from home while you are at OTC 2014
  • Free participation in our matchmaking service for delegates interested in identifying U.S. suppliers.
  • Free participation in two market briefing/ procurement seminars
