Thursday, April 23, 2009 - The Oakland Export Assistance Center (EAC) organized a clean energy business matchmaker for Hong Kong-based China Light & Power1 (CLP Group) on behalf of OSIsoft Inc.2 OSIsoft is a long term client of Oakland EAC International Trade Specialist Cindy Ma. The CLP Group is one of the leading power companies in the world. Throughout the years, CLP has grown to become a conglomerate of companies with a portfolio of over 30 generation assets and retail businesses in different countries in the Asia Pacific Region. OSIsoft, Inc. provides its PI System, real-time monitoring software, to many of these CLP power plants throughout Asia. Oakland EAC Director Rod Hirsch recruited 7 private sector clean companies to provide presentations to the CLP representatives. In addition, Director Hirsch partnered with Rob Guthrie from Ex-Im Bank's Office of Renewable Energy & Environmental Exports, who also gave a presentation to the group.
