Singapore FTA Video Wine Tasting

Thursday, August 21, 2008 - The U.S. Commercial Service (CS) in Oakland and Singapore in cooperation with the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Foreign Agricultural Service (FAS) conducted a U.S.-Singapore Foreign Trade Agreement (FTA) virtual wine tasting. The California wine promotional event was in partnership with corporate strategic partner FedEx, Libbey and the California Wine Institute. More than 20 wine importers participated in the video wine tasting.

CS Singapore Senior Commercial Officer Daniel Thompson made introductions, Foreign Agricultural Attache David Cottrell provided a market briefing and U.S. Ambassador to Singapore, Patricia L. Herbold, gave welcoming remarks. Local San Francisco Bay Area media attended the virtual wine tasting in Oakland, California.
