U.S.-Laos Trade Conference

May 26, 2005 - The Oakland U.S. Export Assistance Center (USEAC) hosted a U.S.-Laos Trade Delegation in partnership with the U.S.-Laos Trade and Investment Group and Cal-Asia. The inbound delegation of high level government and business officials, including the Commerce Minister of Laos, Mr. Soulivong Daravong, were welcomed by Congresswoman Barbara Lee's staff at the invitation of Oakland USEAC Director Rod Hirsch. In addition, Director Hirsch arranged for OPIC Representative, Mr John Moran from Washington, D.C., to present overseas investment assistance through the Overseas Private Investment Corporation (OPIC).
