The U.S. Department of Commerce's Commercial Service actively supported and participated in the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2006 held in Las Vegas, Nevada from January 5-8, 2006. The U.S. Commercial Service arranged and coordinated a Show Time Program at CES 2006 to assist U.S. companies who are interested in expanding their international markets. This was a joint effort between the Commercial Service's Global Trade Programs and the Information/Communication Technology (ICT) Team. The Show Time Program enabled 22 U.S. businesses to present information on their company and products to Consumer Electronics industry specialists from 15 different countries. After the presentations, the U.S. companies participated in one-on-one meetings with the Commercial Specialists for follow up counseling on developing marketing and business strategies for the individual countries.
