February 1-7, 2005: The Oakland Export Assistance Center (EAC) hosted for one week from February 1st to the 7th, 2005 a delegation from Japan comprised of three business officials from Toyo Automation. This was a follow-up to Toyo Automation's first visit to the San Francisco Bay Area after attending the ASIS trade show in September of 2004 escorted by Commercial Service Tokyo Commercial Specialist Hisaneo Aomori. Oakland EAC Director Hirsch set-up meetings between Toyo Automation and several Bay Area clients in the earthquake preparedness sector. In addition to the one-on-one meetings, Director Hirsch arranged for a site visit with U.C. Berkeley's Pacific Earthquake Engineering Research Center (PEER). Toyo Automation will be signing distributor agreements and agreed to purchase initial products from two Bay Area companies.
