The company is headquartered in Hayward, California and plans to open more offices in the future.

In 2002, the company was the recipient of the Presidential "E" award, the highest honor bestowed by the United States government upon exporting companies for excellence, and has received numerous other awards from federal government agencies.

Mumbai Business Summit - Oakland Export Assistance Center Director Rod Hirsch accompanied, Jamal Qureshi of JQ American, to the Mumbai Business Summit as part of Under Secretary of Commerce Frank Lavin's trade mission to India.

January 2006

Videoconference with Bhopal - The Oakland U.S. Export Assistance Center arranged for a videoconference with the Bank of Alameda, the U.S. Export-Import Bank, and JQ American to explore financing opportunities for a project in Bhopal, India.

October 2004

Small Business Exporter of the Year - Mr. Jamal Qureshi, President of JQ American, was recognized at the National District Export Council (DEC) conference in Memphis, where Mr. Qureshi was presented with a finalist award as runner-up to the National DEC's Small Business Exporter of the Year.
