On February 28, 2011, the Sacramento U.S. Export Assistance Center and the Northern California World Trade Center hosted the International Trading Partners Series: Chile Market Briefing. The attendees learned about the current opportunities and market trends for American companies to export to Chile.
The Sacramento area businesses had the opportunity to meet Senior Commercial Service Officer, Mitch Larsen, who serves as the principal commercial advisor to the U.S. Ambassador to Chile and is responsible for U.S. export programs and services aimed at increasing trade between U.S.A. businesses and Chilean buyers. Larsen leads an active commercial staff of 12 within the U.S. embassy. His participation in the event offered many small businesses in the Sacramento area with resources and information on exporting.
This event provided a personal environment for participants to directly network and discussed possible business opportunities with both U.S. Government export executives and international governmental trading representatives. In addition three firms elected to meet one-on-one with SCO Larsen directly after the market briefing.
The Northern California World Trade Center is Northern California's largest international business organization, affiliated with the World Trade Center’s Association (WTCA) in New York City.
