International Trading Partners Series: Australia

On the morning of October 5, 2011, the Northern California World Trade Center held its next edition of the International Trading Partner Series from 9:00 am to 10:00 am. This particular meeting in the International Trading Partner Series featured Australia. Twelve business and community leaders met to network and discuss possible business opportunities with both US Government export executives and foreign government trade representatives. Hosted by the Northern California World Trade Center, the International Trading Partner Series highlights six of the top 10 trading partners with California. The U.S. Commercial Service was represented by Senior Trade Specialist Anthony Hill of the Sacramento Export Assistance Center. This event featured Nigel Warren, Australia's Consul General and Senior Trade Commissioner based in San Francisco, CA.

Liz McChesney, of the Northern California World Trade Center acted as moderator and began the meeting with welcoming remarks and introductions for the two speakers. Ms. McChesney was followed by Mr. Nigel Warren who spoke about Australia's economy and growing industries in the country. Following Mr. Warren, Senior ITS Hill spoke and introduced the U.S. Commercial Service and explained the services offered to California businesses for supporting exporting.

The International Trading Partners Series: Australia was a success. The Sacramento USEAC developed a contact at Motion Control Engineering and 2 other companies who are interested in promoting their products in Australia.
