Developing and Accelerating an Exporting Strategy

Workshop for local San Francisco Bay Area manufacturers

The U.S. Commercial Service in San Francisco will be holding an Export Development Seminar on May 23rd in celebration of "World Trade Month" and in support of President Obama's National Export Initiative (NEI) http://trade.gov/nei/ Local San Francisco and bay area manufacturers interested in "Going Global" are encouraged to participate in this workshop.

Learn the export process from start to success!

  • Finding New Markets: Identify overseas agents/distributors and develop your market channels; accelerate your company’s international growth by leveraging U.S. government export resources.
  • Line-up Financing and Export Insurance: Understand risk management and payment terms. Access export working capital and insurance programs to increase your overseas sales and limit international risks. (Exim Bank)
  • Execute the Shipment: Build confidence in logistics for export business planning: documentation, shipping terms, foreign duty/tax rates, on-line tools and resources. (FedEx)
  • Local Export Resources: In addition, SFMade, the Port of San Francisco and the NorCal District Export Council, will provide updates on services they provide to the local manufacturing community.
