Czech Publisher looking for rights for children books

Czech publisher Mlada Fronta would like to purchase rights for publishing American books in the Czech market. Mlada Fronta is looking for American books for children 6 – 10 years, containing longer stories. Books having 100-200 pages sell best, as opposed to picture-heavy children’s books with little text, as these are very expensive to reproduce. Mladá fronta is one of the largest Czech publishing houses in the Czech Republic. The company entered the market in 1945, and focuses mainly on translated foreign fiction, works of popular science, non-fiction, poetry, and books for children and young people. It also publishes science fiction literature, the People and the Earth travel series, and historical novels. The company publishes more than 200 new titles every year. Czech Publisher looking for rights for children books

Czech publisher Fragment would like to purchase rights for publishing American books in the Czech market. Fragment is looking for American books for children 9 - 11 years, especially book series aimed at girls, which have more potential. Best selling topics include young girls’ first loves, experience from school, tales on horses, fashion, tests for girls, etc. Established in 1991, FRAGMENT is currently one of the largest and most recognized publishers in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. Fragment publishes books for both children and adults of all age groups, both fiction and non-fiction. Fragment publishes and translates works mainly from the UK, U.S. and Germany.
