The U.S. Commercial Service will organize a Southern U.S. Region Trade Mission to Panama, October 26-29, 2008, offering a timely way for U.S. firms to explore the market for U.S. products and services. Open to all U.S. firms. Taking advantage of the marketing momentum generated by the proposed U.S.-Panama Free Trade Agreement and the Panama Canal expansion, the mission will include an economic briefing, one-on-one business appointments, Panama Canal Authority procurement overview, reception at the Ambassador's Residence, and a Colon Free Zone optional track. The participation fee will be $1,850 for large firms and $1,560 for a small or medium-sized enterprise (SME). The fee for each additional firm representative (large firm or SME) is $450. Expenses for travel, lodging, most meals, and incidentals will be the responsibility of each mission participant. Hotel at U.S. Embassy rate will also be available.
