The “Complying with U.S. Export Control Laws” seminar will take place in Independence, Ohio on Tuesday, March 22, 2011. This day long seminar will provide participants with the latest information on Export Controls and how to develop an effective compliance program. Invited speakers include the Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS), Treasury's Office of Foreign Assets Controls (OFAC), U.S. Census Bureau - Foreign Trade Division, and Customs and Border Protection. Topics to be discussed include: • An Overview of the Export Administration Regulations (EAR). • Determining Licensing Requirements • Developing an Effective OFAC Compliance Program • Understanding the Electronic Export Information & Automated Export System (AES) • Enforcement and Compliance Issues This Seminar Will NOT Cover ITAR Related Topics.
