The U.S. Industry Program at the IAEA General Conference is the only event of its kind, taking place for the fifth time in 2012. As the 21st Century's global nuclear renaissance has gained momentum, the International Trade Administration (ITA) seeks to better position U.S. industry within the International Atomic Energy Association (IAEA). The French, South Korean, Japanese, and Russian industries are already well positioned to influence international energy policy and nonproliferation objectives. ITA is addressing U.S. industry's underrepresentation by hosting a series of promotional activities for U.S. companies and organizations during the 56th IAEA General Conference in September 2012, in Vienna, Austria. The General Conference attracts senior national energy officials from around the world, including all countries considering expansion of existing nuclear energy infrastructure, as well as countries considering new projects. This special initiative presents an excellent opportunity for U.S. firms to gain visibility and access to key decision makers and IAEA personnel. The participation fee includes: - a pre-conference welcome briefing, - a U.S. technology and services exhibit booth, - an industry networking reception, - a U.S. policymaker roundtable, - assistance in gaining access to IAEA staff and country energy decision makers - assistance in gaining access to IAEA side events - sponsorship opportunities for interested U.S. companies. |
