Ecobuild is the world's biggest event for sustainable design, construction and the built environment and the UK's largest construction event of any kind. The 2011 show featured more than 1,300 exhibitors and attracted more than 55,000 visitors, a 34% increase in attendees on the previous year. This is a reflection of the recovering fortunes of the UK's construction industry. The 2012 event is expected to be larger still, driven in part by the UK government's Green Deal initiative to enable whole home energy efficiency improvements. As a result, Ecobuild 2012 will be a unique opportunity for U.S. suppliers to showcase their innovative sustainable building products and services. Ecobuild focuses on the following product categories: renewable energy and microgeneration, water management and efficiency, building services and management, external works, substructures, building structures, building completion, building systems, building materials, professional services, finishing products and materials, and fittings. The organizers run a conference in parallel with the exhibition, as well as a comprehensive series of free seminars for visitors. |
