The Rio Oil & Gas trade show is a leading industry exhibition and is a key entry point into the Latin American market for a U.S. energy company. The show has been held since 1982 and both the exhibition and petroleum conference have contributed to build Rio de Janeiro's reputation as Brazil's oil capital and the place to do business in the country's energy sector. The state of Rio de Janeiro accounts for 80% of the oil produced and more than 50% of the nation's natural gas. This show is an outstanding venue for U.S. energy exporters to sell into the market and make new business contacts. The conference, held simultaneous to the show, is a well known networking and business development venue where major technological issues and challenges to the sector are discussed. |
