Exposeguridad, an annual show, was launched in 2003 and has grown at a rate of 30 percent yearly in space sales. The 2012 edition will be the tenth. It is the most important event of its kind in Mexico, the largest in terms of international exhibitors, and one of the most important in Latin America. Attendance in 2011 exceeded 11,500. There is a growing awareness of security in Mexico due to high rates of kidnapping, theft, and homicides, many of which are drug- and gang-related. The show's product theme covers some 29 different areas, from access control and biometrics to systems and controls for home automation. |
