Held September 4-7, 2012, at the Hamburg Messe & Congress Exhibition Center in Hamburg, Germany, SMM is the leading international trade fair for the ship building sector. Approximately 2,000 exhibitors make SMM the fair for U.S. companies eager to showcase their shipping, ship building, workboats and military (naval and coast guard) products and services. More than 50,000 trade visitors from 58 nations visited SMM 2010 -- and SMM 2012 is expected to surpass the 2010 show! In conjunction with the SMM 2012 trade fair, environmental and financial conferences and more than 80 special sessions, press conferences and meetings are being organized by Hamburg Messe and various companies and groups. Also held during SMM will be the Maritime and Security Conference, bringing leading decision-makers throughout the world to the fair. Exhibition categories include: -- ship sections, deck and safety equipment; -- shipyard installations and equipment; -- shipbuilding materials such as stairways, rails, top rails, lighting, propulsion systems; -- ship operations equipment; -- cargo handling systems; -- electrical engineering; -- marine technology; -- ports and port technology; and -- maritime services. Ship brokers, ship charterers and ship owners also will be featured at this must participate event. |
