SERVICES: The U.S. Commercial Service (CS) in Germany offers a wide range of support services to U.S. exporters who wish to expand their international business. At Aircraft Interiors Expo 2013, Commercial Specialist Moritz Holst will conduct a pre-show outreach campaign to potential buyers and partners in Germany. He will team up with CS aerospace specialists in selected European countries to alert European buyers about the U.S. presence at the show. During the 3-day show in Hamburg, he will work the floor and meet with U.S. exhibitors, provide them with market research reports, key contact lists and do one-on-one counseling sessions to assist them in finding European representatives. Holst will also help U.S. exhibitors with IPR and VAT recovery issues. The U.S. Commercial Service program will start with the official U.S. Exhibitor Reception at the American Consulate General on the evening before the show. BACKGROUND: The Aircraft Interiors Expo is the largest dedicated aircraft interiors event in the world. The 2013 edition of the show will take place April 9-11 in Hamburg, Germany. Once again, it will showcase the full spectrum of technologies and products for airline manufacturers and operators (amenities, cabin management systems, cockpit doors, fasteners, galleys & galley equipment, lighting/LED, materials, plastic moldings, refrigeration, repairs & restoration, safety equipment, uniforms). The U.S. Commercial Service will revive its tradition of hosting a U.S. Exhibitor Reception at the American Consulate General on Monday, April 8th, 2013. The reception offers a platform for U.S. exhibitors to foster business relations with German and international trade visitors. This pre-show evening event is regarded as an unofficial kick-off to the show by many in the aerospace industry. It attracts decision makers from well known OEMs, such as Airbus and Boeing, and provides the optimal setting to meet and mingle with all types of buyers in the interiors supply chain (e.g., composites, seating, lighting and VIP applications). In 2013, some 550 exhibitors will showcase their products to more than 8,000 trade visitors from over 90 countries. Almost one fifth of the exhibitors will be from the United States.
