As of March 26, 2012, the Economic Section of the U.S. Embassy in Ecuador will assume responsibility from the U.S. Department of Commerce’s Foreign Commercial Service (CS) for promoting the export of U.S. goods and services to Ecuador, as well as promoting the U.S. as an ideal investment destination.
CS Ecuador has worked for over 35 years to promote commerce between Ecuador and the U.S. and has connected hundreds of U.S. and Ecuadorian companies to do business together. Over the years, CS Ecuador has worked to benefit the business communities of both our countries and has contributed to strengthening the U.S.-Ecuador bilateral relationship.
The Commercial Service in Ecuador has a long history of trade successes. In 2011 alone, CS Ecuador helped over 243 U.S. companies export their products and establish commercial relationships with Ecuadorian partners, increasing trade and helping create jobs in both countries.
