What is the Hannover Fair? The world’s largest trade show focusing on industrial equipment, the fair will have more than 6,000 exhibitors and 220,000 visitors (70,000 from outside Germany), meeting in 26 halls. The Hannover Fair is owned and organized by Deutsche Messe AG (DMAG), which is an official partner of the U.S. Department of Commerce.
What does it mean to be Partner Country? Through a strategic partnership between the U.S. Department of Commerce, the U.S. Commercial Service, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, SelectUSA, the U.S. Embassy in Germany and Deutsche Messe, the USA will be the official Partner Country in 2016. To highlight the U.S. commitment to enduring economic ties with Germany, President Obama will also be attending the opening ceremony on the 24th of April. There will be increased visibility, signage, TV and press coverage, accompanying seminars and discussions (including the Transatlantic Business Summit): all with a focus on and speakers from the U.S. industry and government.
There will be special U.S. pavilions for:
→ Industrial Automation
→ Digital Factory (smart manufacturing)
→ Industrial Supply (advanced materials)
→ Research and Technology
→ Mobilitec (advanced transportation solutions) – in 2016 part of the Energy Pavilion
