- Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996
This provision consolidates laws related to domestic arbitration, international commercial arbitration, and enforcement of foreign arbitration awards. It is based on the Model Law on International Commercial Arbitration adopted by the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL) in 1985. - Substantial Acquisitions of Shares and Takeovers Regulations, 1997
Mergers and Acquisitions are governed by this law also known as the takeover code, which is administered by Securities and Exchange Board of India. The law also provides a regulatory framework and protection to small investors.
