Conformity Assessment

Testing organizations located throughout the country provide conformity testing against relevant Indian standards.

In association with technical GOI agencies and NGOs, the Bureau of Indian Standards carries out intermittent inspections of products under mandatory certification. A provision exists for sub-contracting certification inspection activities to relevant and competent agencies in certain areas.
