Our team of domestic and international trade specialists, located at our Export Assistance Centers in the United States and at U.S. Embassies overseas, is prepared to assist in increasing your export sales. The aerospace & defense industry has been a cornerstone of the U.S. economy for decades and has provided well paying jobs for a variety of skill levels. The industry’s position is now challenged by global competition, changes in technology, national and worldwide economic conditions, and global policies affecting defense, civilian and commercial aviation. Event Summary:
Please join the U.S. Department of Commerce, on February 3rd, at Noon EST, for a webinar briefing on “Maximizing Aerospace Industry Opportunities in Europe: Becoming Part of the Airbus Supply Chain”. The briefing will focus on contracting with aircraft manufacturer Airbus. Procurement officials from Airbus will discuss the company's procurement strategy and discuss how U.S. companies can become part of its supply chain. In December 2010, Airbus Americas and EADS-North America created a joint U.S. Sourcing Office, at Airbus Americas' headquarters in Herndon, Virginia. David Williams, the new Head of the U.S. Sourcing Office, will take part in the webinar briefing.
