We are the industry’s primary export resource and should be your first point of contact when looking to sell internationally. Our team of domestic and international trade specialists, located at our Export Assistance Centers in the United States and at U.S. Embassies overseas, is prepared to assist in increasing your export sales. The aerospace & defense industry has been a cornerstone of the U.S. economy for decades and has provided well paying jobs for a variety of skill levels. The industry’s position is now challenged by global competition, changes in technology, national and worldwide economic conditions, and global policies affecting defense, civilian and commercial aviation. To maintain this important sector of the U.S. economy, the U.S. Commercial Service strives to provide assistance to increase the industry’s competitiveness. Specifically, the Aerospace and Defense Technology Team works with companies to help them:

NOTICE: NextGen Solutions Vendor Guide: Submissions Due by March 29, 2013!

The US Department of Commerce, International Trade Administration is creating a NextGen Solutions Vendors Guide, intended to be used by foreign air navigation service providers, airport operators, and governmental authorities to identify U.S. goods and services that can be used to help implement ICAO consistent NextGen solutions. The guide will highlight the U.S. producers and suppliers who indicate that they have products that can be used to implement one or more of the listed NextGen solutions.

Event Summary:
Arkansas companies operating across all industries are being presented with a first ever of its kind export seminar in the State of Arkansas to give small and medium-sized businesses the opportunity to gain knowledge necessary to determine options available for financing their export businesses. This seminar will provide information and tools on how best to utilize programs and services offered by the Export-Import Bank of the United States; the U.S. Small Business Administration; and also international business divisions of banks. This seminar will detail the products, programs and services available to mitigate risks associated with export transactions (i.e. international letters of credit; documentary collections; working capital loans; foreign receivables insurance; & guaranteed term financing). This program is coordinated by the U.S. Commercial Service office in Little Rock that also provides export trade finance counseling for small and medium-sized businesses.
