NOTICE: NextGen Solutions Vendor Guide: Submissions Due by March 29, 2013!

The US Department of Commerce, International Trade Administration is creating a NextGen Solutions Vendors Guide, intended to be used by foreign air navigation service providers, airport operators, and governmental authorities to identify U.S. goods and services that can be used to help implement ICAO consistent NextGen solutions. The guide will highlight the U.S. producers and suppliers who indicate that they have products that can be used to implement one or more of the listed NextGen solutions.

Event Summary:
India represents a large and growing annual market for air defense equipment, estimated at $3-4 billion EVERY YEAR. India is planning major procurements of military aviation hardware and is also upgrading its surveillance, defense and strike capabilities, in keeping with its expanding strategic role as a regional power. Expenditures are needed to keep pace with this growth. New product requirements and the replacement needs of the military aviation sector are expected to cost about $20 billion over the next 3-5 years. Aero India is a premier aerospace exhibition, with eight successful editions organized between 1996 and now behind it. Organized by the Defense Exhibition Organization, Ministry of Defense, Government of India, the Aero India show has become India's premier trade show for the Aerospace and Defense sectors. The Aero India show in 2011 had participation from 29 countries with 675 companies (380 overseas + 295 domestic) and 47 overseas delegations were accommodated over a gross exhibition area of 75,000 square meter (including outdoor), which was nearly 57% more than the previous edition in 2009. The ninth edition of Aero India will be held from 6 Feb to 10 Feb in 2013. Aero India 2013 will provide a significant platform to bolster business opportunities in the international aviation sector. It is favorably poised for exponential growth over the previous editions because of a rapidly growing economy, defense preparedness challenges and opening up of defense production to private sector.
