The U.S. Commercial Service Europe Team is pleased to present a webinar briefing on the opportunities for pet products in Europe.
Italy is a top market for U.S. pet products with the fastest growing pet market in Europe. Most recent market data indicate that the dog and cat food market in Italy is valued at 2.1 billion, a year on year increase of 2.1%. Pet products registered a growth of 1.5% for total sales of $80 million with cat litter confirmed as the strongest non-food sector.
Germany is another high growth European market for U.S. pet products and has recorded sales of pet food and supplies of $4.4 billion. As the pet population in Germany continues to rise, the future outlook for the pet supplies market in Germany is very positive.
