Kazakhstan Education Market – Tuesday, May 21st

Targeting U.S. Higher Education Institutions

U.S. Commercial Service Kazakhstan together with the Public Affairs Office of U.S. Consulate General in Almaty will host an informational webinar on the exiting opportunities in Kazakhstan’s higher education market.

Why Kazakhstan?

Currently, Kazakhstan sends 25,000 self-paying undergraduate and graduate-level students overseas every year. Unfortunately, only about 6% of them chose to study in the United States and we hope to help increase this number significantly.

Explore the under-tapped education market:

Kazakhstan is a rapidly-developing, politically-stable, oil-rich, ethnically diverse nation, that has tripled its GDP in recent years to around $13,000 per capita.

Young people here actively study English – many Universities in Kazakhstan conduct all coursework in English -- and are very eager to study abroad. It’s not difficult for Kazakhstanis to get visas, either.

In addition, the Government of Kazakhstan recently announced plans to close many local private universities, so the number of students seeking high-quality education overseas is forecast to increase.

What will be covered?

  • Kazakhstan higher education market trends
  • The education system and typical Kazakhstani student profile
  • Opportunities for U.S. higher education institutions

We look forward to having you join us for this webinar and offering you a chance to learn more about entering or increasing your presence in this growing but mature and competitive market.
