Webinars

  • Opportunities in Colombia’s Oil and Gas Industry
Join us for a one-hour webinar highlighting opportunities and possibilities in Colombia’s oil industry. Participants will learn about the market, current state of the industry, what to expect in the future, and how to leverage government resources to take advantage of these opportunities.

Producing over 1 million bbl/d, oil remains Colombia’s top export product. Boosting O&G production and exports are priorities for the Government of Colombia, and in 2003 Colombia enacted regulatory reforms  to enable greater foreign investment in unconventional and offshore exploration and development. Commercial-level production in Colombia’s deepwater is untested but has garnered interest from major international O&G companies. Unconventional oil and gas production shows potential, but more capital-intensive equipment is needed to address technical challenges as well as the country's strict environmental and safety regulations. Despite the low international price of oil, US equipment and service suppliers will find business development opportunities in Colombia's oil and gas sector.
