The Oakland Export Assistance Center invites companies interested in exporting to a World Trade Week Seminar on Wednesday, May 23, 2012. The event is in partnership with the Corporation for Manufacturing Excellence (MANEX, and the i-GATE NEST Incubator in Livermore, California. Invited speakers include Congressman John Garamendi, Congressman Jerry McNerney and Congressman Pete Stark. Topics that will be covered range from federal export promotion, grants, and financing services to the benefits of reshoring manufacturing and learning of new commercial opportunities generated by the Lawerence Livermore National Laboratory. U.S. Department of Commerce Deputy Assistant Secretary for Manufacturing Pete Perez will be speaking about the importance of job creation through the exports of U.S. manufactured goods and services. |
