Event Summary:
U.S. companies involved in the marine technology and ocean science community should consider exhibiting in Oceanology International – China 2013, which will be held September 3-5, 2013, at INTEX in Shanghai, China. Held for the first time in China, Oceanology International – China 2013 will be the only forum in Asia where industry, academia and government share knowledge and connect with the marine technology and ocean science community, improving their strategies for measuring, exploiting, protecting and operating in the world's oceans. Oceanology International – China 2013 will provide the opportunity to capitalize on China's rapidly growing offshore energy and marine industries. China's most recent five-year plan was the first to include a dedicated chapter on marine development, highlighting the country's intent to explore its vast marine potential. In its latest budget, the Chinese Government has boosted funding for oceanography, particularly in exploration, research and deep-sea technologies.
