The City of Atlanta Mayor's Office of International Affairs, in cooperation with the United States Department of Commerce, International Trade Administration, the U.S. and Foreign Commercial Service is organizing a Trade Mission to Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, to be led by Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed.
The mission will focus promoting foreign direct investment in the metropolitan Atlanta region and help small-to- medium-sized local businesses identify and grow their export opportunities with the world's seventh-largest economy.
The delegation will be comprised of Atlanta area firms representing a cross section of U.S. industries with growing potential in Brazil, requesting Services (B2B matchmaking), the Mayor, his staff, and representatives from Georgia Department of Economic Development and the Brazilian American Chamber of Commerce.
The mission will help participating firms gain market information, make business and government contacts, solidify business strategies, and advance specific projects, towards the goal of increasing U.S. exports to Brazil. The mission will include business-to-business matchmaking appointments with local companies and site visits, as well as meetings with local government officials for the Mayor in São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro
