Event Summary:
Join the U.S. Department of Commerce's Multi-Sector, Multi-State Trade Mission to Colombia, September 9-12, 2013. The mission is open to U.S. companies from a cross section of industries with growing potential in Colombia, but focusing on best prospects such as safety and security equipment and services, medical equipment, cosmetics, agricultural machinery, and information technology. The mission is intended to provide several States with STEP funding a way to access the new U.S.-Colombia FTA market, who cannot send a large delegation on their own and have trouble getting visibility for a smaller mission of 2-5 companies. A larger delegation means increased visibility in the market not only for participating companies but also for each State. Through this trade mission, U.S. companies will find agents, distributors, and joint venture partners in Colombia, laying the foundation for successful long-term ventures by providing business-to-business introductions and market access information. The mission will stop in Bogotá, Colombia. Participants will meet with pre-screened potential agents, distributors, and representatives, as well as other business partners and government officials. They will also attend market briefings by U.S. Embassy officials, as well as networking events offering further opportunities to speak with local business and industry decision-makers.
