Event Summary:
NAMPO Harvest Day 2012 will be held May 15-18, 2012 in Bothaville, South Africa. Nampo Harvest Day is the largest agricultural exhibition on the African continent, attracting over 600 exhibitors and 73,550 attendees from 4 continents in 2011. Nampo is important both for its access to the South African agricultural equipment market--Africa's largest and well-established market for U.S. products--and as a venue for selling to buyers from neighboring African countries where commercial agriculture has begun to grow rapidly. The first NAMPO Harvest Day began in 1967. The show covers over 150,000 square meters, most of it outside. The show embraces all agricultural machinery, products and service manufacturers and distributors. In the end, the NAMPO Harvest Day focuses on farmers--its primary customer--and what it takes for the farming community to prosper and grow. U.S. companies can participate in NAMPO in the following ways: Full Exhibition Booth + USA Pavilion Catalog - Includes booth space in the USA Pavilion; listing in the full color USA Pavilion Catalog; listing in a pre-show outreach campaign to prospective partners; and invitation to an international reception. Options include matchmaking appointments, outdoor space for equipment display, A/V, and electronics. Fee: $3600 Mini Exhibition Booth + USA Pavilion Catalog - Includes the same benefits as a full booth. The mini booth allows space for a one meter wide company banner and product literature display. Fee: $1200 USA Pavilion Catalog - Receive a full page promotion of your company and products in the full-color USA Pavilion Catalog. U.S. Commercial Service staff will actively promote your products and gather leads at the show using the catalog. Following the show, you will receive a Market Interest Report and Trade Lead Report. Fee: $499 Initial Market Check: For an initial check into the potential for your products, a South Africa-based Commercial Specialist will contact 5-10 relevant partners in South Africa, introduce your company and products, and summarize the feedback and recommended next steps in a report. Fee: $350 The deadline to register for these programs is March 30, 2012.
