Archived Webinar: Discovering Opportunities in the Spanish Boating Market

Click HERE to download the recorded webinar presentation.  Please allow for 30 seconds to download the recording.

Whether you are ramping up efforts again or looking to re-engage after the recession, learn about the current improving conditions of the Spanish boating market.

Join us for this 45 minute webinar to learn about the growing opportunities in Spain as well as the NMMA’s efforts to lead the first USA Pavilion to the Salon Nautico de Barcelona in October, in conjunction with our strategic partners at the US Department of Commerce in Madrid and in association with the Marine Industry Association of South Florida.

Jose Fayos, Export Manager for ANEN (Spanish Marine Trade Association), will discuss the current market situation in Spain as well as identify the most promising areas for growth. Recent legislative changes have eased the tax burdens imposed on boat ownership for vessels larger than 8 meters, opening up a new segment of the market for domestic and international boat builders. He will highlight the positive changes impacting Spain’s boating industry and discuss why companies in the medium size boat market, the superyacht refit sector and marina development should be focusing on Spain.

Julie Balzano, Export Development Director for NMMA, will follow with a brief overview of the plans in place for the 1st USA Pavilion at the Barcelona Boat Show – including details for a planned interactive marina hop tour, to several area marinas as part of the trip experience and our pavilion cocktail reception, sponsored by the MIASF.
