SelectUSA is the U.S. government-wide program to promote and facilitate business investment in the United States. SelectUSA provides services to international investors of all sizes and U.S. state, regional and local economic development organizations (EDOs), working across the federal government. Japan is an attractive source of FDI into the United States
Japan is the second largest source of FDI into the United States. The total stock of FDI from Japan to the United States is $344.1 billion, over 80 percent of all FDI in the United States that originates in Asia-Pacific. Please see the fact sheet of FDI from Japan to the United States.

SAVE THE DATE - 2016 SelectUSA Summit June 19-21, 2016
SelectUSA will be hosting the 3rd annual Summit in Washington D.C. at the Capital Hilton from June 19 – 21. Last year’s Summit, led by Delegation Leader Ambassador Caroline Kennedy, had over 2600 attendees from 70 nations. Japan was the second largest delegation with over 90 members. Japan also contributed two speakers to the official program that included President Obama and Secretaries Kerry and Pritzker by having Nissan Vice Chairman Shiga, and Suntory President Niinami speak. The Summit is the perfect opportunity to encourage Japanese investors to gather information on U.S. destinations and connect with key contacts to move projects forward.
