World Trade Week -- Certificates of Appreciation for Achievement in Trade

Each year the President of the United States proclaims one week in May as World Trade Week, providing an opportunity to reflect on the importance of international commerce to the quality of American life. In 2009 U.S. exports exceeded $1 trillion and supported millions of American jobs.

During World Trade Week the U.S. Department of Commerce presents Certificates of Appreciation for Achievement in Trade to recognize foreign business partners, trade associations, and others for supporting U.S. export development and for creating opportunities for U.S businesses through trade.
