This conference day is part of a Danish trade and R&D study trip to Boston & Washington, December 4-11; HealthBridge 2013. More on: www.healthbridge2013.dk. The official partners behind HealthBridge 2013 are the Ministry of Health & Prevention, Danish Foreign Ministry, Trade Council, Invest in Denmark, US Embassy in Denmark, HIMSS Europe, Healthcare Denmark and DELTA on behalf of the Advanced Technology Group (GTS), who is bringing a delegation of Danish companies, regions, municipalities, academia and other key stakeholders to the US.
In Boston we are organizing a Denmark/Massachusetts conference with focus on future and emerging technologies. Here we will be exploring and learning from the Healthcare systems of both Denmark and Massachusetts and meet US and DK Innovators. Central to the American guests will be two sessions focusing on Danish Mobile Health and Health Technology, running from 11.00 AM - 2.30 PM including lunch. The first session explores the Danish adoption of mobile health technology from a regional, hospital and municipal/primary care perspective as well as potential opportunities for American companies to engage. The speakers will gather in a panel after the presentations and a half an hour is set aside for Q&A. Chinese Energy Conservation and Renewable Energy Law and Legal Aspects of Entrepreneurship in China
This December, the U.S. Department of Commerce and China’s Ministry of Commerce (MOFCOM) will co-host the 18th U.S.-China Legal Exchange, a unique forum that allows the U.S. business, legal, and academic communities in three U.S. cities, including Boston to hear directly from Chinese officials about new and important developments in China’s commercial legal and regulatory landscape.
High-level government officials from China, led by Assistant Minister of Commerce Zhang Xiangchen, will present for a full day on two areas of China’s commercial law regime:
U.S. company representatives, lawyers, academics, local and state government officials, students, and other interested persons are invited to attend the Legal Exchange and participate in discussions on these topics with Chinese government officials and experts from the United States.

Massachusetts Export Center’s Export Expo

The Massachusetts Export Center’s Export Expo provides a forum for exporters to connect with the wide variety of export resources available in Massachusetts while learning about issues that impact their day-to-day export operations.
Exhibitors will include law firms, banks, freight forwarders, consulting firms, translation firms, customs and compliance automated solutions providers, and various government and non-profit organizations serving the export community.
Coinciding with the exhibition, the Export Center will convene workshops and panel discussions throughout the day on a wide variety of export-related topics. This year’s Expo will feature more workshops than ever, addressing current issues of concern to exporters, such as export control reform, recent AES changes, anticipated adaptation of the CTPAT program for exporters, and more! The Expo will also feature training on those day-to-day issues critical for effective management of your business’ export growth and operation.
Guest speakers include Eric L. Hirschhorn, Under Secretary U.S. Commerce Department's Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS). Mr. Hirschhorn oversees the Commerce agency that advances U.S. national security, foreign policy and economic objectives by ensuring an effective export control and treaty compliance system and by promoting U.S. strategic technology leadership and will provide an update on the Export Control Reform Initiative, including key issues and changes, as well as post-implementation insights and the outlook for the future.
