"Free Trade in the Middle East Conference" in Bahrain features Secretary of Commerce Gutierrez, February 27, 2006

Commerce Secretary Carlos Gutierrez will be visiting Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, and Egypt on February 23 - March 3, and through his participation in the Bahrain conference, will highlight the significance of the new U.S.-Bahrain Free Trade Agreement.

U.S. companies looking to increase their bottom line by making new export sales can take advantage of an upcoming conference on the benefits of the U.S.-Bahrain Free Trade Agreement and regional Middle East trade opportunities. The conference. to be held February 27, 2006, in Manama, will enable American firms to learn firsthand information on the region from top-level public and private sector officials from the U.S. government and Middle Eastern countries.

The conference will provide businesses with latest information on industry sector opportunities, trade leads, business practices, and other key aspects for achieving business success in the region. The conference will also include commercial attachés from U.S. embassies throughout the region.
