David Edmiston, International Trade Specialist

David Edmiston is an International Trade Specialist in the Minneapolis office of the U.S. Commercial Service (CS). Prior to joining CS, David served as an International Trade Compliance Analyst within Import Administration’s China/Non-Market Economy unit where he conducted antidumping proceedings. David has also worked as a Procurement Agent in Boeing Commercial Airplanes Asia Structures Division. In this position, he worked closely with Boeing management and Chinese manufacturing facilities to plan for and implement Boeing’s China supply chain activities. Professionally, David has also served as an AmeriCorps Vista volunteer providing small business consulting services to refugee populations in Spokane, Washington. While David was born and raised in Seattle, Washington, he has also lived in both northwest England, and Shanghai, China. In addition, David is a Mandarin Chinese speaker and has completed a China-focused International M.B.A. at the University of Hawaii at Mānoa. In his spare time, David enjoys hiking and biking, playing ultimate frisbee, and brushing up on his Chinese language skills
