Ryan Kanne, Office Director

As the Director of the U.S. Commercial Service in Minnesota, Mr. Kanne works in the Minneapolis office to assist Minnesota companies in the export of their products and/or services. He has been with the Commercial Service for over 10 years and has helped companies in numerous sectors to export their products and services. Prior to joining the staff, Ryan wore numerous hats working for a small business.

Mr. Kanne’s educational background includes a BA in International Business and Entrepreneurship from the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, MN and a Technical Certificate in World Trade from St. Paul Technical College. He spent a semester studying in England and a summer in Costa Rica. Mr. Kanne also took classes in Guatemala and Western Europe during his undergraduate studies. He was a Policy Fellow at the Humphrey Institute, and has participated in a culture/business exchange to Japan through Rotary International. He has a Mini-Master’s in E-Commerce from the University of St. Thomas, and has completed his coursework for his Master’s in Human Development focusing on Leadership Development from St. Mary’s University of Minnesota.
