The U.S. Commercial organizes and supports conferences, seminars, and events to educate our clients and promote international trade. Our goal is to help local U.S. exporters sell globally. A sampling of our events includes:
By organizing trade missions and educational seminars; providing matching or export counselling services at trade shows; and recruiting buyer delegations to U.S. trade shows, the U.S. Government helps U.S. exporters expand global sales at trade events.
Upcoming International Trade Conferences

The MN District Export Council, in cooperation with the U.S. Commercial Service, is pleased to present the Gateway to Europe conference, a regional International Trade Administration conference to be held in Minneapolis in June, 2013!
This conference will help you plan your business' future growth in West, Central, and Eastern European export markets. The conference will feature key insight about doing business throughout Europe. Companies will benefit from pre-scheduled, one-on-one meetings with more than 25 Senior Commercial Diplomats from 30 countries.
Conference attendees will have the opportunity to:
• Pre-schedule one-on-one meetings with Senior Commercial Diplomats;
• Attend keynote addresses by leaders from government and industry;
• Share and learn best practices in each country;
• Interact with public and private service providers; and
• Identify where their next, best business opportunity may be in the region.
Eligible Minnesota small businesses may qualify for a 50% discount on the Early Bird Rate through the STEP Export Assistance for Small Business Program, funded in part through a grant from the U.S. Small Businesses Administration.
