Governor’s Trade Mission to Mexico – Sign-up Deadline

Governor Dayton, in coordination with the Minnesota Trade Office, will lead a trade mission to Mexico August 9-14, 2015, with a focus on strengthening business, education and cultural ties with Minnesota's second-largest export market and the world's 15th-largest economy. STEP funding of up to $7,500 is available to eligible companies for this mission. To apply, please follow the registration link below.

Doing Business in Sub-Saharan Africa: Why, Where and How

The University of Minnesota’s Carlson School of Management and the George Washington University Center for International Business Education and Research (GW-CIBER) are hosting a one-day conference focusing on 8 dynamic economies: Angola, Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya, Mozambique, Nigeria, South Africa, and Tanzania. EB-5 in the Midwest – Second Annual Meeting

The EB-5 program is a federal program, with the purpose to stimulate local economic development, create jobs, and improve regional productivity through direct foreign investment. Africa Forum: Business and Political Trends in Africa

Sub-Saharan Africa is one of the fastest growing regions on the globe and is home to seven of the ten fastest growing markets in the world. The International Monetary Fund has estimated economic growth in sub-Saharan Africa will be 5.6 percent in 2013 and 6.1 percent in 2014.

U.S. trade to and from Africa has tripled over the past decade and the U.S. exported $22.6 billion in goods and services to the region last year. Africa has growing populations, growing middle classes, increasingly stable governments and increasing trade among African nations. With Chinese, Indian and other groups actively investing and interacting with most, if not all, African countries, a common theme expressed by Africans is “Where are the Americans?”

Listening Session - Technologies for the Treatment of Mine Water
