Under President Barack Obama’s Doing Business in Africa (DBIA) initiative intended to respond to the emergence of African regional economic communities, and work with our partners to deepen integration, reduce barriers to trade and investment, and support existing and new investments by American businesses, the U.S. Commercial Service Nigeria now overseas Gabon and Cameroun under the U.S. Department of Commerce Partner Posts program. Through this program, CS Nigeria provides guidance and support to State Department economic/commercial sections at Sub-Saharan Africa Partner Posts to provide market information and deliver standard Commercial Service products and services (e.g. Gold Key Service, International Company Profile) in the partner market.
