Engaging Asia Lecture Series-- "A New SE Asia: Economic Integration creates new opportunities for US Business"

Date: Tuesday, November 4, 2014

Time: 6:30 pm

Location:   Portland State University campus, room TBA

Trade patterns in Asia are continuing to change and evolve.  Southeast Asia is especially true of this.  Country-to-country Free Trade Agreements are one facet of this.  Even larger changes are in the offing when the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) comes into effect at the end of 2015.  Additionally, the Trans Pacific Partnership (TPP) currently under negotiation could also bring large changes.  Join us when former Senior US Diplomat and longtime Portland businessman Chris Runckel, President of Runckel & Associates and the U.S. first Diplomat in Vietnam discusses how this area is changing and the increasing opportunities for Pacific Northwest Companies.  Runckel has 45 years of experience with Asia and over 15 of helping US and other nations companies to increase their opportunities in Asia.  He will update all of us on this rapidly altering landscape.
