Pat assumed his responsibility as Senior Commercial Officer with the U.S. Commercial Service Manila in August 2008. A career diplomat, Mr. Wall possesses 25 years of international management and marketing experience served on four continents. Prior to his arrival in the Philippines, Pat represented US industry in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, one of the fastest growing economies in the world and regional hub of the Middle East. He also managed partner post responsibilities over the Sultanate of Oman. Pat and his team successfully advocated tens of billions of dollars of export sales on behalf of U.S. industry.
In his prior assignment, Pat served as Senior Commercial Officer (SCO) Panama, where he worked on the US negotiating team that successfully concluded framework talks leading to free trade agreement with the U.S. Other assignments with The Foreign Commercial Service include, Deputy Senior Commercial Officer for Australia & New Zealand. He held assignments as Liaison Officer with Inter-American Development Bank, Acting SCO Buenos Aires Argentina and Acting Regional SCO for the Caribbean based in Santo Domingo. Other positions include Director, Birmingham Export Assistance Center, and Acting Director and Senior International Trade Specialist Louisville Export Assistance Center.
His private sector experience includes the position of International Marketing Manager Near East Africa, at the world headquarters of the Smith & Wesson Company. In this capacity he managed a distributor network covering the Near East, Asia and sub-Sahara Africa. Mr. Wall also held international sales management positions with three divisions of AXIA Corporation, a direct marketing company distributing safety, laboratory and industrial equipment worldwide. He taught international business as a professor of international marketing at McKendree University and worked as a Casualty Analyst with Aetna Life & Casualty.
Mr. Wall holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Management from the School of Business Administration, University of Massachusetts at Amherst, and a Master of International Marketing from the American Graduate School of International Management (Thunderbird) of Glendale, Arizona.
